2018 UN Climate Change Conference - COP24 - Katowice (Poland) 11-15 December
Following the intense political process in negotiating the Paris Agreement at
the COP21 in Paris in December 2015, the ensuing climate conferences are
expected to focus on preparing and delivering on the modalities for implementing
the agreement. This preparatory work started during the COP22 in Marrakesh in
2016 and continued during the Bonn summit in 2017.

The Paris Rulebook and the first outcomes of the inaugurated in Jan 2018 Talanoa Dialogue are expected from the Katowice talks in December 2018. In line with the European Parliament's climate commitments, a delegation of 14 MEPs headed by Ms Adina Valean, Chair of the Environment Committee, will be attending COP24 from 11-15 December.
